Akoya Pearls

The size range of Japanese Akoya pearls varies from a minimum of 2 millimeters to a maximum of 10 millimeters. Pearls smaller than 6.0 millimeters are considered small, while those between 5.0 and 8.5 millimeters are common sizes for pearl jewelry on HELAS. Akoya pearls larger than 8.0 millimeters are regarded as above average in size, and such pearls are rarer and more precious.
